Allantoin is a naturally occurring compound found in plants but, is synthetically produced in skincare to ensure optimum effectiveness while preventing impurities. Allantoin is beneficial for sensitive skin and/or dehydrated skin. It helps to sooth and calm skin by itself or can act as a buffer from adverse effects of active ingredients.
